Dover Electric Supply is Now Part of Colonial Electric Supply

Colonial Electric Supply has acquired Dover Electric Supply, bringing together two independent, family-owned electrical distributors with long histories of serving customers throughout the Mid-Atlantic.

Dover Electric Supply will continue to operate under the Dover Electric Supply name during the transition. Customers can continue working with the same local teams they know, now with access to Colonial Electric Supply’s broader inventory, distribution network, project support and technical capabilities.

What This Means for Dover Customers

For now, customers can expect business as usual. The Dover team remains in place, and Colonial will gradually introduce additional products, services and capabilities as the businesses become more integrated.

Dover customers will also gain access to Colonial’s broader infrastructure, including its King of Prussia headquarters and central distribution center, which supports more than $50 million in inventory and more than one million square feet of warehouse and yard space.

Delaware Location Update

As part of this transition, Colonial Electric Supply’s existing Newport, Delaware location will be closing. Going forward, we will utilize the Dover Electric Supply location in Newark, Delaware to support customers in the area.
