The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration (AFTD)

Today, the diagnosis of frontotemporal degeneration (FTD) comes with no treatment and no cure. FTD is a rare disorder that causes impairment in personality, language, behavior and/or movement. It is a progressive disease that typically begins in the 40s-60s, and thus affects family and finances in a way that the more common forms of dementia do not. AFTD is dedicated to funding research for the development of effective treatments and to developing resources and education programs for professionals and families, and Colonial is a proud sponsor of the organization. For more information, please visit http://www.theaftd.org/.

Upper Merion Tricentennial Mural Project

Upper Merion celebrated its 300-year anniversary in 2013, in part, by displaying a mural on the outside wall of Colonial Electric Supply’s Customer Service Center in King of Prussia, PA. The mural is a rendition of local 19th century, Montgomery Country artist, William Trego, depicting George Washington and his men at Valley Forge. The mural embodies the spirit of Upper Merion’s Tricentennial logo: “Preserving the past, shaping the future,” by prominently displaying Upper Merion’s distinguished history. Colonial is pleased to accommodate the Upper Merion Township with the space to display the mural and to provide the lighting.
